About Us
The research center SYSTEMA (Systems Thinking for Business, Management and Engineering) is unique in Cyprus in its mission to work with the local SMEs, communities, stakeholders and public authorities to build the foundations necessary to promote business innovation through Systems Thinking approaches and to become a major solutions provider to complex systems problems. SYSTEMA is an interdisciplinary research center that aims to become the focal point for research, applications and education for the Cypriot SMEs and local communities, but also to become a major player in the Mediterranean and the wider area of Europe. The need for a forum to inform, strengthen, and engage communities made the School of Business at the European University Cyprus a logical choice for housing the research center SYSTEMA. The center benefits from the expertise and stature of the School of Business in education, research and collaboration with the stakeholders.

Our Projects
DIgital Marketing at Secondary Schools (DIMAS)
The project pioneers a digital marketing curriculum for high schoolers (16-18 years old), fostering e-entrepreneurial skills through real-life scenarios. By integrating e-business into secondary education, it sparks e-entrepreneurship and boosts learning motivation.

AA - Active Ageing
The 'Active-Ageing' app promotes active lifestyles among the elderly, while the SPN project enhances city walkability to address mobility challenges. Together, they make daily walks safer and more enjoyable, promoting healthier urban living in European cities.

SPN - Smart Cities
The SPN project aims to improve city walkability, reducing car dependency and addressing mobility challenges. By promoting walking and sustainable transport, it seeks to enhance urban living conditions and reduce pollution in European cities.
