Dr. Myria Ioannou is a distinguished Associate Professor in Marketing and the Chairperson of
the Department of Management and Marketing at European University Cyprus. She oversees the
BBA program in Marketing Communications and Social Media. Dr. Ioannou holds a PhD from
Manchester Business School, where her research concentrated on service quality and bank-client
relationship dynamics in both retail and business contexts.
Her academic career is complemented by robust industry experience, including roles as a
business and financial analyst at the Cyprus Development Bank and as a training officer at the
Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus. Dr. Ioannou's scholarly work, which
frequently appears in esteemed international journals and conferences, delves into service
quality, customer experience, customer engagement, and relationship management. She has a
notable record of contributing to the advancement of knowledge in digital marketing,
significantly impacting both the academic and practical aspects of marketing and customer
relations.
Dr. Ioannou also participates actively in research projects, notably an Erasmus+ funded project
on Digital Marketing in Secondary Schools (DIMAS), highlighting her commitment to applying
marketing principles to educational advancements.
As a member of the System Research Center, Dr. Ioannou is poised to contribute her vast
expertise in customer experience and digital marketing strategies, providing invaluable insights
into developing innovative solutions for complex challenges in today’s digital landscape.
