Dr. Stelios Marneros is a leading Assistant Professor specializing in Hotel, Tourism, and Event
Management at European University Cyprus. With a robust educational foundation, he earned his
Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, followed by a
Master of Science in Hotel and Catering Management from Manchester Metropolitan University, and a
Doctorate in Hotel Management Pedagogy from Middlesex University.
His career at European University Cyprus began in 2004, initially as a lecturer before transitioning to an
assistant professor role in 2020. Prior to his academic career, Dr. Marneros gained practical industry
experience as a Food and Beverage Manager at Atlantica Hotel in Cyprus.
Dr. Marneros is recognized for his scholarly contributions to the fields of hospitality management and
tourism, particularly in core competency frameworks, digital marketing strategies in hospitality, and
entrepreneurship in family-owned SMEs. His research often explores the intersection of theory and
practice, aiming to enhance industry standards and educational methodologies in hospitality
management.
